With all preparations carried out and all equipment installed the valve repair workshop of Howden Thomassen Far East is now in operation.

Urgent Need for Own Workshop
Up till recently all repair and reconditioning activities were performed by Thomassen Engineers in a third-party workshop. This concept worked well for a relatively small amount of activities. When more and more repair work came in, the need for better control in an own workshop became apparent. Howden Thomassen Far East can now guarantee all repair and reconditioning activities to be carried out strictly in line with the Howden Thomassen standards as an OEM of reciprocating compressors.

According to Thomassen Quality standards, compressor valves and stuffing boxes are subject to stringent inspections before any repair or reconditioning work is carried out. Quality is monitored intensively during and after repair and reconditioning work. The workshop is able to serve as a one-stop centre for Field Service activities in the region. We ensure our clients of high OEM repair standards when compressor components leave the workshop.
