FFP™; unique design, proven technology
The Free Floating Piston (FFP™) has long proven itself. Thomassen invented and marketed this special piston in 1998 and has built quite a reference list ever since.
Language / Instructor
Courses are conducted in the English or Dutch language by a professional instructor. All instructors are experianced in the design, operation, control and maintenance of compressors.
Course materials
Participants receive a course instruction and reference manual on arrival. This 400-page document covers the entire course. It combines text with images and diagrams, and includes reference material for further private studies.
At the end of the fifth day, participants will receive a course certificate.
Training methods
Extensive use is made of visual aids. Calculations, lubricator adjustments and alignment procedures are demonstrated. Individual components - such as valves, rings, hydraulic tools, stuffing box parts, impellers, seals, etc. - are on display at all times. Each course leaves enough time for participants to raise and discuss problems encountered during everyday operations.
Participants are encouraged to bring cross-sections of specific machines, PIDs, etc. to the course, preferably as PDF.
