Revamping of reciprocating compressors

Our Service group provides a range of specialist services that help optimise the availability and reliability of your reciprocating and rotating equipment.

Our Revamp department offers the following services:

• Compressor upgrades, including:
- Hydraulic Fit connections at both ends of the piston rod
(for easy maintenance of parts that wear),
- Thomassen's unique FFP™ technology (click here for benefits);

• supply of new parts to accommodate changes in process parameters;

• installation of monitoring systems to measure rod drop, impact on distance pieces and valve temperature, resulting in reduction of maintenance operations;

• hydraulically operated clearance pockets for loss-free, variable capacity control;

• engineering studies and recommendations
(in relation to compressor and/or process gas problems);

• re-rates of reciprocating compressors;

• design, engineering, drafting and manufacture of equipment used in conjunction with lube oil and watercooling systems, main drivers and/or process gas systems.
