Successful overhaul at BP Rotterdam
During the scheduled shutdown at the BP refinery in Rotterdam at the end of 2011, Howden Thomassen Compressors (HTC) overhauled two C-25.2 reciprocating compressors.
Thomassen is a leading manufacturer of reciprocating compressors. Established in 1906, the organization has supplied high-quality compression solutions to major refineries and leading petrochemical companies for over a century.
Our in-depth knowledge of field processes and compressor-related systems allows us to design, construct, manufacture, repair, revamp, overhaul and service all types of reciprocating compressors, including auxiliary equipment. We also service and revamp centrifugal compressors and steam turbines, and supply compressor monitoring systems.
API and ISO standards
The technical specifications of our compressors - which comply with and often exceed API and ISO standards - meet the toughest requirements. What's more, our focus on fundamental research has resulted in several highly innovative technologies that save time and money. To assist clients, we additionally offer customized training courses that are well known for their high standards and attention to detail.
Quality assurance
As you might expect, our quality management system complies with NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2000 standards. The QA system has been operational since 1987, and is periodically checked and certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance. All installation, commissioning, repair and servicing activities are nowadays also certified by Lloyds, and comply with the Safety Checklist Contractors (VCA).
