FFP™; unique design, proven technology
The Free Floating Piston (FFP™) has long proven itself. Thomassen invented and marketed this special piston in 1998 and has built quite a reference list ever since.
With the volume of repair work increasing over recent years, finding space to work in effectively was becoming more and more of an issue in the Service Repair Shop. So, in 2011, the shop was fully refurbished. Floors were replaced to meet the latest environmental and safety demands and machines were moved to more effective locations.
Relieve Capacity Pressure on Customer's Site
The floor space for working on rotating and reciprocating equipment was increased such that it is now possible to work in an organized fashion on a package of equipment at the same time. This enables us to extend our assistance with handling customer's rotating equipment to relief capacity pressure on-site, during turn arounds for example.
Dedicated Repair Area's
For the repair of small compressor parts, such as the reconditioning of valves and stuffingboxes dedicated area's have been set up, fully equipped with all the necessary machinery and tools.
Icing on the Cake
The icing on the cake was the purchase of a new belt-driven low-speed balancing machine.
All this work was undertaken to provide our customers with a full-service solution for maintaining their rotating and reciprocating equipment and to preserve our status as a specialist in the repair of centrifugal and steam turbine rotors.
